This morning we opened up our email box and found the greatest thing!
AN EMAIL FROM THE US EMBASSY!
We are not cleared for travel just yet, but in five days we can call and check on our case. They have received all of her paperwork and are reviewing her case.
So basically, we are just waiting for them to either say, "come and get your daughter", or, "we've scheduled an interview for this day with the person who found her" - at which point, we will likely be cleared to travel the day of that interview.
We're talking like three weeks or so folks!
Now, that is not set in stone. This process is so tricky... Something could go wrong or after the interview they could require more documents and we would have to wait longer. But, so far - so good!
Oh my! I am a huge ball of anxiety this afternoon! So excited!
We covet your prayers. We've still got some money to raise and our new home study is in the process of being submitted to USCIS for approval. Two small things that could delay us further.
Man, we are so excited!

Yay! I was just coming over to your blog to rant and rave and throw some huge fit if you still had not blogged... I'm far too invested, Rae... but I am SO GLAD to read this news instead! How exciting :D PTL! (and don't stop blogging, ever ;) )
