This is a picture of my sons.
They have conspired together to be horrible and the bond they have forged is strong. Today is Friday and I'm thinking that if I have to endure one more day of them being this way I could explode...
And Jeff was even home today handling a ton.
He looks like he did explode - he's in the garage using power tools as a way to recover.
I am not sure we have ever been here before - having a child that will not bend to our will - so we are learning a lot. And being humbled in the process. Tonight as we left the basketball game - full of everyone we know - Jonas threw his body back while Jeff was holding him and began to scream at the top of his lungs.... Jeff just smiled and looked like he wanted to die.
I walked faster and looked down.
So, there you go. That is my blog for the day. I hope you've enjoyed it.
Cheers.

Oh no. Boys. Two boys together. It's a world that only parents who have boys close in age can understand. At least it's only two. :)
On a much happier note, you have an amazing looking coffee maker. I wish I were there to sip some with you and talk about how sweet girls are.
i always love your blogs. you are so real and i miss you and your family so much.
i'm sorry you and jeff are having a rough time with the boys, but i couldn't imagine two better parents for those little men-in-training!
oh friend, i feel ya. i sub taught in our kids's small group last sunday night and two other moms were in there…i was utterly shocked at how all three of mine acted! elliot has been hard so that wasn't as surprising but lucy and kate! aye yai yai! and the best part is we are the leaders of the group! :) God sure knows how to keep us depending on him!
You got this, Rachel. You're in a hard stage, but the time will come when you will be praising God for His work in helping you raise your sons into such magnificent men. (And maybe teaching you some hard lessons along the way.)
